I need $3,000 because I can't just sell the sewing machine -- I have to replace it with something more expensive from the same category. And the next most expensive thing costs $3,000.
I think that now the Social Worker is no longer a threat, the challenge will be easier, but there's still the whole keeping-them-from-starving thing...
