The prompt for this story was “Recovering from a breakup,” submitted by silverbelle1220. This story fits into “The Order of the Llama, or, The Performer and Her Pianist,” a crossover chapter between Already in Progress and Ruth’s (un)Officially Wacky Boolprop Challenge.

Dramatis Personae

Anastasia Tsvirkunov, Romance Sim, recently dumped by Cecil, her sister’s ex.

Rebecca Tsvirkunov, Popularity Sim, her sister.

 

Setting

A coffee shop near campus.

 

ANASTASIA: I just can’t believe it! How could he just dump me like that, in front of Esme and everyone?!

REBECCA: Well, you were sleeping with other people while he was away.

ANASTASIA: So what? You were dating other people when you were dating him.

REBECCA: And when he found out, he broke up with me. He’s really quite consistent.

ANASTASIA: Yes, but he broke up with me! In front of everybody! And he said I slept around!

REBECCA: You do.

ANASTASIA: But he’s not supposed to break up with me!

REBECCA: Why not?

ANASTASIA: Because I’m hot! And he’s lucky to get me, even part of the time! …And I’m already getting sloppy seconds from my sister, so having him dump me in public like that is just humiliating.

REBECCA: Hey, I never did more than kiss him.

ANASTASIA: I don’t care – it’s still humiliating! Ezzzz…! (breaks off as an attractive dormie enters the room) Whoa, will you look at him?

REBECCA (glances over) He’s okay, I guess. Not my type.

ANASTASIA: Well, he’s got what I need. (stands) I’ll be right back.

REBECCA: What about Cecil?

ANASTASIA: Cecil who?
