The prompt for this story was “‘Forget I said anything’,” submitted by superfrog. This story fits into the current chapter of Jack Point’s Home for Pedestrian Playables.

NOTE: This story is a true drabble, which means it is exactly one hundred words – no more, no less. (There is an additional fifteen word allowance for the title.)

Rating: G

JEFFINA: What are you doing, Milton?
MILTON: I’m making a hat.
JEFFINA: Out of tinfoil?
MILTON: It works best. (dismissively) You don’t need one. You’re a robot.
JEFFINA: So why do you need a hat?
MILTON: To stop the rabbits.
JEFFINA: But hats won’t keep the rabbits out of the garden.
MILTON: They’ve infiltrated as far as the garden? Then it’s too late – we’re all doomed. Doomed!
JEFFINA: We’re all doomed because of rabbits?
MILTON: Okay, maybe not the robots. (jams the half-finished hat on his head and glares around furtively) Forget I said anything. It’s safer that way.

Ah, Milton. His theory makes perfect sense to him, I'm sure. :)

Tinfoil hats are always a good precaution though, even if the rabbits have got as far as the garden! :)

I'm sure it does, and you're quite right about the usefulness of tinfoile hats! :)

Thanks for reading! :)

I'm not sure what's going on there, but... It's good to be prepared in case of rabbits? :)

Well, Milton lives in an insane asylum a redisential facility for people with psychological differences. He's rather paranoid and believes that he sees human-sized rabbits that nobody else can see. Does that shed a little light on the story? :)
