Congratulations on winning! :) I'm curious about this contest, now, so I plan to look back on your previous entries.
I tried googling the "Snap of Life" contest, but I couldn't locate a set of rules, just excerpts from them that folks had posted with their snaps. Do you happen to know if they're still posted, somewhere?
The rules were on the old forum, which no longer exists, so they don't exist either. They were pretty simple, though: Each round had a theme (this one's theme is "Moving On") and you could submit a maximum of seven shots. Three of these were your entries that you would be judged on: one headshot, one full body shot, and one freestyle. The other pictures were optional extras. You could add a story if you liked, but it wasn't required. (Many people did, as paragraphs associated with each picture.) In your official shots, your Sim had to be the main focus, and the judges had to be able to tell what was going on without an explanation. I got told off a couple times for showing my Sim's back, or having the focus be on another Sim, but I kept advancing.
Mostly because more people dropped out each round than they needed to eliminate, I think, but hey.
It feels good to be done, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)
Thanks for filling me in on the contest! :) I might try following the themes, some time. I always take a lot of pictures, so this could be a fun way to use the ones that don't make the cut for a story update.
