When I saw slide 8, I suddenly pictured Cecil as a traditional housewife! There he is, fitting in all his chores and telephone calls before the breadwinners return home for dinner. ;D
Although the theft and chance cards were a bummer, the way you described them made me laugh -- especially "because I'm not an idiot"! :D I can totally relate to that. The game has caught me out so many times!

I hadn't thought of that, but I suppose he is something of a homemaker. :) I am actually having a difficult time with this challenge; at least one of the other people who is playing it is kicking my butt big-time.
It's not fair when the game does things like that! I've found, though, that if the person who gets the chance card isn't in platinum mood at the time, there's rarely a good answer.
I think the cats needed comforting as much or more than Cecil. With cats, it's as much enlightened self-interest as anything: "If this person is unhappy, he won't feed me or clean my litterbox. I need him to be happy. Therefore, I will purr a little and let him pet me for a few minutes so that I can continue to get my food on time."
