Since someone expressed interest in my Gilbert & Sullivan posters, I am uploading the whole set. :D Each poster is an individual file, so you can pick and choose. Should you want all of them, you will need to click fourteen times, for which I apologize. Below the cut, you will find a full-sized picture of each.
Please note: my image manipulation skills are not the best, and at a very large size, you will be able to see where I have cut something out of one background and pasted it onto another. These lines do not show in game, as the pictures are much smaller. Each poster has the title of the show, the alternate title (if one exists), and the credits "Book and lyrics by W. S. Gilbert / Music by Sir Arthur Sullivan" I don't have a Simlish font, so the words are in Symbol.
Just click on the title of the show to download the poster.
Thespis, or, The Gods Grown Old
Nobody knows what this show is about, really, since it was "lost" very shortly after its only theatrical run. The poster therefore depicts something intended to be a generic Greek-sih ruin. This plot will not appear in Ruth's.
This plot appeared in Ruth's as "Arbitration." With Matthias Miller as The Defendant, Sarah Jane Littledragon as The Plaintiff, and Tyrone Miller, Timothy Littledragon, and Ryan Shankel as The Jury.
This file is actually titled "Srocerer.jpg," because "sorcerer" is a very hard word to spell. It's right on the poster, though. :) This plot appeared in Ruth's as part of Chapter 10. With Tyrone Miller as John Wellington Wells.
HMS Pinafore, or, The Lass Who Loved A Sailor
This plot appeared in Ruth's as "OFB Farmstand." With Matthias Miller as Captain Corcoran and Sarah Jane Littledragon as Little Buttercup.
The Pirates of Penzance, or, The Slave of Duty
This plot was retold in Ruth's under its own title. With Timothy Littledragon as Frederic.
Patience, or, Bunthorne's Bride
This plot appeared in Ruth's as "Myrna, or, Oakapple's Own." With Matthias Miller as Bunthorne and Ruth Shankel and Sarah Jane Littledragon as Rapturous Maidens.
Iolanthe, or, The Peer and the Peri
I am aware that the House of Lords in done up in red leather and that it is the House of Commons that is done in green. However, the game already comes with green leather walls and the colors look nice, so I took a little artistic license. This plot was retold in Ruth's under its own title. With Sarah Jane Littledragon as The Fairy Queen.
Princess Ida, or, Castle Adamant
This plot appeared in Ruth's as "(Not) Heiress Rose." With Ruth Shankel as Princess Ida.
The Mikado, or, The Town of Titipu
This plot was retold in Ruth's under its own title.
Ruddigore, or, The Witch's Curse
With Timothy Littledragon as Ruthven Murgatroyd/Robin Oakapple and Ryan Shankel and Tyrone Miller as Previous Baronets of Ruddigore.
The Yeomen of the Guard, or, The Merryman and His Maid
This plot appeared in Ruth's as "The Order of the Llama, or, The Performer and Her Pianist." With Tyrone Miller as Jack Point.
The Gondoliers, or, The King of Barataria
With Ryan Shankel and Timothy Littledragon as Guiseppe and Antonio Palmieri. (Just like everyone else, I don't know which is who.)
Utopia, Limited, or, The Flowers of Progress
This plot will not appear in Ruth's, since I find the premise (that all non-white people living in other countries want nothing more than to behave like white British people) offensive. Gilbert's grasp of what someone would wear on a south seas island appears to have been very hazy, as pictures of the original costuming look like a mish-mash of Greek, Roman, Turkish, and Middle Eastern outfits. I have kept the "mixed-up" look on this poster, but made do with what outfits I already have. With Timothy Littledragon as King Paramount the First and Sarah Jane Littledragon as The Lady Sophy.
The Grand Duke, or, The Statutory Duel
Although I have done my best to remove the lines caused by cut-and-paste, the one between the figure in the black dress and the figure in the white dress may still be visible. For this, I apologize. With Matthias Miller as Rudolph, Sarah Jane Littledragon as The Baroness von Krakenfeldt (in black) and The Princess of Monte Carlo (in green), and Ruth Shankel as Lisa (in white) and Julia Jellicoe (in purple).
IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Your sims will need to paint these to be able to hang them on the wall. For that reason, you will need to put them in your Paintings folder, not your Downloads folder. Once you do that, they should work just fine.
