It seems Allyn is making quite some progress quickly. Engaged, married and pregnant already! That must be a boost for this challenge's checklist.
Wow, the outfits are really nice! I'd have a hard time changing them every day, that's for sure. I do exactly the same: pick an outfit and then stick to it until the next transition if there's no good reason to do otherwise. Like a plot point or a glitchy outfit.
Fun and productive update, keep up the good work Esme!
Wow...poor Allyn, from the dog to twins to failing to remember that her mother recently got married to a gigantic mess around the place, and father helping is against the rules. She's a trooper! I adore those outfits. I change everyone's clothes very frequently but since I'm not in a rotation it might not look like it - the idea that you'd wear the same clothes to wash the dog that you'd wear to take your mother in law to lunch has always vastly unreal to me 😉. Your sense of humor in telling the story/challenge is a lot of fun!
Allyn *is* a trooper, and I like her. :) I'm not 100% sure that the father helping is against the rules, but I'd be willing to bet that it is. I agree that wearing the same outfits all the time isn't particularly realistic (unless you don't like your mother-in-law, I suppose), I'm just usually too lazy to bother with all the changes.
To be fair, it wasn't *Allyn* who forgot that her mother got married again. Her stepfather is actually younger than she is, so perhaps we could say that he was weirded out by being invited to meet his "grandkids" and made an excuse not to come?
I'm glad you're enjoying the story so far! Thanks for reading and commenting! :D

Date: 2019-01-10 12:52 am (UTC)I'm very much afraid that remembering to change outfits is going to seriously trip me up... IIRC, the outfits were inspired by the plastic flamingo guy and his wife, who wore matching clothes for 35+ years. https://www.vintag.es/2017/07/this-adorable-couple-has-been-dressing.html
Glad you enjoyed the chapter! Thanks for reading and commenting! :D
