I'll admit I've gotten a little mixed up about what I've been reading and what I haven't (yet) read, but it seems I'm familiar with most characters here, so I'll jump in. :) The recap was quite helpful, too!
Oh wow. You completely tricked me with the switcheroo, I wasn't able to predict that at all! Now that you say it, Draupadi doesn't have the same color eyes as in the picture of Chant's newly cured plantbaby, and judging by adult pictures, they actually have different skintones too. But with hairstyles and so on, you were able to make them look similar enough that since you told me they were the same sim, I believed you! That's quite impressive, and must have taken a LOT of plotting and planning!
So Phoebe wasn't the only one who was fooled, but otherwise, I do think she kind of got what she deserved here. I wonder if her attitude might change from here on out. I guess we'll see.
To top everything, happy endings for all, and a dance party - I heartily approve. :) This was a fun update, and with all the plotting and planning, tied a lot of loose ends together very nicely. Well done Esme! ^^
I did deliberately choose the same toddler outfit and hairstyle, but other than that, I didn't try. And I never did say that they were the same sim. ;) When I first showed Trudy (Chant's daughter), I didn't tell her name. Someone (maybe even you?) asked about that in the comments, and I apologized and said I'd give her name next time. Next time, I showed a picture of Draupadi and said "This is Draupadi" and showed a picture of Trudy and said "This is Trudy." Both statements were perfectly true. I have referred to Draupadi as "Nicholas's sister" and to Trudy as "Paul's sister." Both of those statements are perfectly true, since adopted siblings are siblings. (Lavinia and Dongsool are just as much Paul's siblings as Trudy, and he's not genetically related to either of them either.) Chant has always drawn a distinction between "my daughter" and "Draupadi", and in fact there was a Myshuno! short where he specifically snapped at Phoebe to quit talking about his daughter because he was talking about Draupadi. It did take a lot of planning, and I'm glad to hear it worked! :D
Phoebe has a whopping one Nice point, just like her father -- and her husband, come to that. She's also fairly proud and probably won't unbend all the way. We'll see.
I'm very glad to hear you enjoyed the story, and the plotting and planning, and the way everything wrapped up! Thank you so much for reading and commenting! :D
PS: The original Gilbert & Sullivan show ended with happy endings for all and a dance party. I just followed the script. ;P
