I'm gonna say that buying a dog is okay, too. It's a lot easier than befriending a stray, but the point is also to get rid of money any way possible. :P
I'm glad you approve! :) And I'm glad to hear that buying a dog is okay. I suppose I should back up my game and then try the adoption service again at some point, but I didn't want to risk it. And I certainly ended up with not very much money in the bank afterwards!
Love that you added Calista! :) I feel the same way about NPC Sims with the same name -- they must be related! I got a kick out of Calista trying to freestyle enough money to buy a dog for Armani. Speaking of Armani, I totally agree about her hair!
After reading the latest installment of Sun & Moon, it was great to see the same events from Goochie's point of view!
It's actually kind of good that I waited to do that, because Abhijeet the half-Vulcan brujo married to Leila the fairy was named Fuchs before his marriage. (I don't know if you follow Already in Progress, but that's where Abhijeet and Leila live, along with their talking cat named Cat.) I'd hate to have to move him into the trailer park, after he worked so hard to get out of it. :P
A girl and her dog go together like chocolate and pickles, so of *course* cousin Calista was going to help out! And the second I tried that hair on Armani, I stopped. It's just so perfect!
I played Sun & Moon and the TPC simultaneously. It was Kiyoshi's idea to bring Goochie home and roll a want to flirt with her, but it was a very good idea, and I ran with it. I'll be interested to see if he realizes he's got a kid...
I'm glad you enjoyed the story -- thanks for reading and commenting! :D
Hooray for an update! And it seems that the queued post works, too. :)
Calista seems like a fun addition to the family, I like her right away. :) I wonder how many "cousins" you might end up moving in during the challenge.
Hooray for the first dog! Clearly buying a dog is an efficient way to get rid of money, too, so it fits this challenge great. ;)
Aww, little Armani is a cutie. I'm glad at least Adrian seems to take care of her.
Naturally, actions have consequences, and in the case of Goochie and Kyoshi, rather predictable ones. Congrats on the first illegitimate baby being on the way, well planned!
Yes, the queued post works very nicely! That will be helpful coming up, I think.
Calista is a hoot. I'm not sure what social group she's supposed to belong to, but I should find out and try out my nice shiny new social groups for all sims hack on her. I be she'd be fun. And she even looks like she belongs in the family. In my last hood there were lots and LOTS of Fuchses (my random name generator was broken), but I don't think there are quite as many in this hood.
Yes, I'm glad Fuzzy ruled that buying a dog was okay. And I did end up with only $4 in the bank, so that was a good thing.
Armani is adorable, and Adrian is a good daddy. He's classier that Goochie, really -- his parents were even married *without* his mother being pregnant at the time! *le gasp*
Oh yes, that little fling was all Kiyoshi's idea, and normally I'd quash it (since I don't have ACR, nothing gets very far without my consent), but in this case it was a very good idea, and I had a lot of fun with it.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for reading and commenting! :D
Yay, Calista! It's one of those townies I like from having sims interact with her a lot (as neighbour on apartment lots, or fellow romance sim to seduce), but she never made it to playable yet anywhere in my game.
I'm glad to see that she has been reunited with her long lost family :D
Calista is pretty fun in my game so far. We'll see how things go with two romance sims in the house... Doesn't she fit right in like she's really truly family? It's great!
I like the idea of the townies with the same name being family, it makes sense. :) Callista seems to fit in well, too.
Aww, Armani is so cute, and I love her hair!
Aha, hello Kiyoshi, also fitting into the challenge well, by the looks of things! :)
I actually named Goochie "Fuchs" precisely because there were so many townies in my old 'hood with that name. (I think the random name generator was broken.)Leila's husband Abhijeet was a Fuchs before marriage, but he doesn't talk to that side of the family anymore. Although I suppose if somebody were to want to become a witch or something, they might call on Cousin Abhijeet... (Your comment about Kiyoshi has me wondering how many other sims I can give cameos to. :) )
I don't picture Kiyoshi as a permanent fixture in this challenge, but romancing Goochie started out it his idea. I just took his idea and ran with it. :P
Callista fits right in. I've done that before, had townies with the same name as family. One time I set some as family with the simblender, not sure if that was a good thing to do or not though.
Freestyling for tips is hard! Even when they really like your sim they don't always tip. Piano works better but it's a bit hard to just fit onto your back pocket and take to community lots. Well you could but...
Golly, I hope setting as family on the Blender is okay - I did it for Calista, and I've done it for plenty of other sims too. Calista does fit right in. :)
I don't think I have ever had a sim successfully freestyle for tips. Uncontrollable townies tend to do much better, especially when it's my sims tipping autonomously and they don't have any cash to spare. In Calista's case, though, she has maybe one Creativity point, so she's just terrible.
