I think only owned businesses can sell furniture. :P Otherwise it's just considered community lot decoration. Maybe there's a hack out there for that. I'd be surprised if there wasn't!

Baby Armani! :D High end fashion designer names are an awesome naming scheme. I'll bet money that there's at least one Dior or Chanel out there in the trailer park world. XD

Drat. on the furniture, but at least it looks nice. I'll just buy the cheap stuff from the catalog, at least until their moonshine operation takes off. Whoops, did I say that out loud? :P

I will not take that bet. I do a lot of data entry in my job, about 3,000 names a year, and in that general socioeconomic class in an urban location, there are plenty of Armanis (which I really do think is an attempt at "Imani," since the Armanis and the Imanis are all about the same age), and Chanel is also popular. Haven't seen any Diors yet, but I can start a new trend with the Fuchs clan. :P

Cousin Callista -- well, I *say* cousin, anyway -- has moved in with no money and no friends, but with a Want to flirt with Goochie's husband and VERY tight jeans. I small Drama in the air... *waggles eyebrows*

Thank you for coming up with such a fun challenge -- and for reading and commenting too! :D

Blimey, I'll have to remember that about the fridge and the green leftovers, that sounds like a nightmare. Glad move_objects fixed it.

Aww, hi baby Armani! :D Love the baby hair, so cute!

I still don't have (and probably never will have, now) AL, so it's always nice for me to see interactions that aren't in my game. :D

I'd never had that happen before with the fridge and the leftovers, and chances are that I couldn't make it hapen again if I tried, but it was quite scary for a little while there. And moveobjects is WIONDERFUL!

I'm a big fan of the baby hair too. They grow up to toddle with the back of their head missing, but a trip to the mirror fixes that and it's so cute to see them with their little haircuts! The hair is available at Moonlight Dragon (registration required, but worth it), and you can have lots of hairstyles in the game at once. Highly recommended!

You didn't snag the UC when they were giving it away, just in case you ever got a proper gaming computer? Well, as long as you're having fun, that's all that matters. I was very happy without AL for years, so it's not needed. But I will keep on putting in little AL and FT things for you then, if you like. Are there any other EPs you want to see interactions from? :)

Thanks so much for reading and commenting! :D

Yep you need to get a playable sim to buy the business, set everything for sale at cheap and then you are set.

I didn't know that about green and buzzy left overs. *files away for later use*

I love the baby toy items. :)

Never heard Armani as a baby name before, but I like it.

Hmmmm, but then I've got to have the playable go in and restock the place periodically, which is kind of a bother. I will think on this further. *ponders*

With the green and buzzy leftovers, it was a matter of timing. If food is already green and buzzy before the the sim picks it up, then it can't be put away as leftovers -- only discarded. If the food is not green and buzzy before a sim puts it in the fridge, then it won't go green and buzzy inside the fridge. As best I can tell, hte food was not green and buzzy when the sim picked it up (so the option to put away leftovers was there), but it went green and buzzy in between the counter and the fridge. Programming would have led to it being put away anyway, and that's wehn I had a problem. Highly unlikely to happen again, I should think.

The baby items are indeed adorable! And they make babies so much more interesting, too.

Armani is a men's designer. Imani is an African name for either boys or girls that is most popular with girls of African descent here in the States. I do data entry, and I have also seen a fair number of girls named Armani. I don't know if they're named after the designer or if the parents got the two names mixed up. I quite like Imani as a name myself.

Thanks for reading and commenting! :D

When your sim goes to the shop they can pick up and buy anything they want (that has been set for sale previously) The owner will be there and any sims they hired and assigned jobs will be there too. EG Bob buys the store and hires Terry to be on the till. When your sim goes there Bob will be walking around and Terry will be on the till. Your playable sim buys what they wants and leaves. If they go right back the shop will reload looking exactly how it was before. So if your sim picked up a crib, that crib will be back in place.

Well, it might be worth it, then. Sometimes I think I should just have a Malcolm Landgraab or similar stashed away somewhere and motherloded out the wazoo and never ever played, just so that they can own a bunch of community lots. Then I can set uniforms and price cheap cribs and such without having to actually run the business. On the other hand, it makes me itchy to have a playable sim that I don't play... :/

I know what you mean, it would make me itchy too. Landgrab might be a good solution since he is already there. I can forget about premades a lot easier than I can about a sim I made.

But Malcolm Landgraab is not naturally in any of my hoods, since I remove the templates and don't get any bin sims. So I'd know he was there and I'd itch.

Probably the best solution is to wait until I have a playable I don't care for and let them fill the role of Landgraab for the hood. I can deal with letting certain playables that i really don't like sit unplayed until the next rebuild.

Yay for more TPC updates!

Too bad about the furniture section. The others are probably right, I think the store needs to be owned for furniture to be on sale, otherwise the game thinks it's meant to be used at the community lot. I haven't sent many sims to community lots owned by others (though I probably will do so more in the BaCC), but I suspect there may not need to be a need a restock? (Unless of course you're there as the owning family and selling the stuff.) Somehow I have a vague recollection about someone writing about unlimited stock in an update...

I have to agree, "Landchild that!" wouldn't quite work that well as a title. :D

Oh yes, Callista the cousin, I'm looking forward to seeing what she gets up to when moved in!

Yikes, that was quite the exotic problem with the fridge! I've never seen it happen in my game, but it's good to know in case it ever does. Glad you got it fixed, though.

Aww, Armani is a cutie, especially with that hair! (And such a classy name too, I like the naming scheme. :D) I've had AL for a long time, but I don't think I've seen that object - it's a downloadable, right?

Maybe more babies on the way - hooray!

Well done again, keep up the good work! :)

Yay for Katri-comments!

I'm not sure how restocking works on an owned lot. I supposed I will have to test it with my farm stand, which is the only owned lot I've got at the moment that sells things. Although those are crafted things, so I'm still not sure if it's a fair test. It's data, though.

Callista the cousin is Romance (just like Goochie) and I see all kinds of interesting possibilities opening up...

I've never heard of that problem happening in anyone else's game ever. I think it was really unlucky timing. But at least there's an easy solution!

I wasn't planning on too much of a naming scheme, but after Fuzzy pointed out that I could also have Chanel and Dior, I'm going to run with it!

The baby play mat and the baby chair with the buttons that make animal noises are from the EA Store, and are technically no longer available. *coughMATYcough* I use the modified version by RebaLynn1960 from Leefish ( http://www.leefish.nl/mybb/showthread.php?tid=4463 ) and Honeywell's versions from MTS that are slaved to her crib, which is slaved to the base game crib for bedding, so in a roundabout way, those items can pick up all your bedding recolors. ( http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=457510 ) Those are modified versions, so I think they're OK.

We will see about the babies, but what's a TPC without lots of little rugrats running around?

I'm so glad you enjoyed the story! Thank you for reading and commenting! :D

Hmm, Romance sim... It does sound like some interesting stuff is coming up!

Thanks for the links, they're good to have for later use!
