There are no duels in this chapter, but because it has been so very long since the last update, the title is still appropriate.

I'm not sure why AuthorStream doesn't like my uploads anymore. If it doesn't fix itself, I may have to stop trying to upload there... EDIT: I figured it out and fixed it, and I don't anticipate it being a problem again.

The Shankles are such a fun and sweet family, and all the arranged marriages continue to amuse me. I enjoy how you tell what's going on in all your households, even if it's just one page :) Old Adam egging the cop on with the burglar was a hoot!

I enjoy the Shankels, and I'm glad you do to! I wish I could take credit for the arranged marriages, but that was Gilbert -- it was one of his favorite plot devices, apparently.

Some of those updates are just for fun, and some are for reasons of Plot. Can you tell which are which? ;)

Old Adam has never been very Nice, although he is always Excruciatingly Correct. However, when someone breaks into your house, they have forfeited their right to Politeness, and cops can be egged on with impunity.

Glad to see you got it all rebuilt, everything looks great. And it's still brilliant that Old Adam is around, although possibly not for his grandchildren's love lives haha.

Well done on getting workaholics; and I agree, the same set of rules should be fine for the whole challenge.

Eee, hi Skye! I'd forgotten about that hair, that made me all happy when I saw that picture. :D

Are you saying that Old Adam is WRONG in his romantic arrangements for hid grandchildren? Madam, how could you?! :P

I think one set of rules is especially fair when I could make the challenge be over tomorrow if I wanted to. I'm doing the same thing (keeping the original ruleset) with another challenge, and it's proving to be quite the handicap, so I think it all evens out eventually.

I'm glad it made you all happy -- I like that hair and it makes me all happy when I use it, so it's just this little ball of happiness going round and round. :)

I have to remember to use the Batbox before this one's born! I don't know if the firstborn effect would work for babies that were born in different installations, but Alexander and Ivan are enough in the way of clones for me.

Horay, we have some OWBC goodness. I was so bored- been sitting far too much with this bad back of mine, I was about to see what was on the telly, but this is better. :)

Love Old Adam's commentary over the fight. I like it your burglar spawned with the glasses, gives her a more shady look.

Old Adam models his behavior after an era when fisticuffs were part of a gentleman's repertoire, and his commentary reflects that. I love the mods that make townies spawn with facial hair and glasses! It adds so much more to the town, although the game is awfully fond of the Loki-Beaker-type goatee-and-mustache combination, and sometimes you get howlers like the college freshman with the giant Old West cowboy mustache.

The Customer Loyalty Star is a hack that lets you manipulate how many stars your customers have. I can click it and then select "Max All" and all the customers on the lot will go from no start to five immediately. Of course, that drives up the business level very quickly. Old Adam has turned into everyone's favorite, I think, including mine. He's never been Nice, only Polite, and like most men, he was a teenaged boy once and doesn't want boys like he was anywhere near any females in his life. :P

A fight brewing over arranged marriages, hmmmm? That sounds interesting. What exactly were you thinking might happen?

Both elopements and love at first sight are very Gilbertian plot twists, so you never know. And my lips are sealed... ;)
