Wow, the green portraits are a big improvements for the moods of this household! Well done!
Not being allowed/able to buy food, ow. That's definitely a hardship, I'd be in trouble there I think. I often don't even bother to buy food; I just quickly buy a new fridge when the old one runs out of food. :P
Poor Garrett, not getting to sleep in a bed. Still not easy!
Hey, Gabriella and Gallagher made it to adults and everyone is still alive! That's an achievement on its own. Also, I'm looking forward to seeing how these specialisations will work out.
I am very proud of those green portraits! :) And unfortunately, with the no-buying-food restriction, they're probably going to turn right back to orange again.
I actually don't have enough sleeping spots now -- the poor kids are having to sleep in shifts. They can't afford another bed, and then the space restrictions don't help.
Gabriella and Gallagher made it to Teens, at least. ;) Now there's less fear of the Social Worker and more time to work on the sideshow and badge-building. I'm looking forward to figuring out how the specializations work, so we'll learn together, yes? :)
Oh, right, I was thinking of the wrong pair of siblings! Whoops, I suppose I wasn't properly awake there. Well, in any case, two more teens should be nicer to handle than two more kids, so it should still be a very good thing. :)
You know what would be a fun attraction? Face painting with the styling chair! Though whether the Newsons can ever afford one is another matter. I'll have to reread the entire thing after you finish to see if I want to try this challenge myself. Anyway, fun stuff!
Oooh, that's a good idea! And it would build a badge, which is needed to win. Thanks for the suggestion!
I don't recommend that you wait until I finish to decide, because at the rate I play, that will be sometime in 2020... which is an optimistic estimate. :(
I'm glad you're enjoying the challenge! Thanks for reading and commenting! :D
I also do what Katri does, and just rebuy the fridge, so I would also struggle with that element of the challenge! Kudos to the kids for being able to fish!
I'm very intrigued by how the specialisations will change as they grow! Does the business make much money? :)
I'm going to have to re-read the rules I think :) Good work, Esme!
I usually don't rebuy the fridge, but I rely heavily on grocery delivery (IRL, too!) and I'm struggling with keeping them fed.
Lorin make an excellent suggestion for a specialization (face painting), and I'm planning to add that in. Unfortunately, the business does not make very much money at all. :(
I hope that you have to re-read the rules because you're planning to play the challenge! I'd love to see what you do with it. :)
I'm glad I checked LJ before going to bed. *Sits down with some hot chocolate to read*
If you put on move objects you can delete that computer for $0
Are any of them really playful? I had the option for a child to juggle the the other day, but he does have 10 playful. That would make a good circus act. You could also have the wondrous boot juice show.
If it's allowed in the rules I would totally buy a new fridge!
I haven't decided if I want to delete the computer or let them use it. Using it is legal, if there's somewhere to put it.
I'm not sure if they're really playful or not, but juggling is a good idea and I will look into it. Thank you!
Alas buying a new fridge is explicitly forbidden in the rules. :( You have to be creative and plan ahead -- and not serve a meal while thieving customers are still on the lot. (Learned that one the hard way!)
Are you allowed the easy bake kids oven? The kids could live off muffins. It doesn't use any food points from your fridge. Another tick is to always keep birthday cake and use that as an emergency food source.
I think I might be allowed the kid's oven, if they can afford it. And I'll see if I can save up for a birthday cake at the next round of birthdays. I forget who's up next...
