So the progress has continued apace. I got the spirit this weekend, and muscled through all 400+ relationships, plus restoring all genetics for everyone likely to reproduce. (I didn't bother with Elder females, Elder males married to Elder females, and gay males.) I aged up everyone that needed to be aged up, although they mostly still need new wardrobes. I upgraded all sims who had been to Uni prior to the rebuild, made Abhijeet (Leila's husband) a proper brujo instead of a pretend one, made Chant a plantsim, and changed a few names as needed (Sally kept her maiden name wneh she got married, but I had to create her as Sally Langerak to make the family tree work right). I had to play musical houses a bit, but everyone is now in the right household except for 1. Skye's beau, who I still need to add to her house, and 2. Tamara and her roommate. Their "apartment" building isn't quite ready to be moved back into yet, although I'm getting close. Everyone who had badges now has those badges back, but I forgot to put in the buyable craftables, so Rose and Dmitri don't have their flower stock yet, and Catherynne doesn't have her toys.

I even managed to fix up a few relative ages that had gotten messed up. Rose was too young in relation to Lisa due to a miscalculation with elixir at least last rebuild if not the one before. I have alltogether too many of these...

I had a bit of a scare when going in to give Bryan and Bella their badges back when I saw that they didn't have any skills. Bryan, at least, was born in game and should have some. Then I checked my notes, and indeed neither of them should have any full skill points, although Bella is close to a cleaning point from filling in holes dug by strays. Bryan did have skills before the last rebuild, but I took them away when starting a Creation To Future challenge on the grounds that they provided an unfair advantage. So it was all good, really.

I recreated three houses from pictures (windowed mode it very helpful for that) and redecorated one of the houses that came with IKEA Stuff for Jo and Phoenix. There are now six houses occupied in Sandersville! Can you see how nicely it's coming along?

I still have to recreate, redecorate, or completely rebuild a bunch of houses, and fix up the real downtown to look like the rebuilding 'hodd downtown, and fix up the Uni buildings in my Uni rebuilding 'hood, and add a Uni to the real Sandersville, and make the Sandersville Uni look like the rebuilding Uni, and and and -- You know what? I'm going to bask in the knowledge that I have made good progress and that what I've completed is nicely done.

Wow, 400+ relationships? Phew, that alone is quite some work! Let alone everything else you've gotten done.

And it's looking nice too. :) Yes, you've made good progress and it's nicely done too - you can be happy with what you've done!

*cheers*

Yes, although that's counting all the relationships both ways: Phoebe to Chant is one relationship and Chant to Phoebe is another, even though they are married. It is a lot of work, but you know, it's about the same as I always do, and SimPE makes it easier. It's just soooooo tedious!

I am feeling pleased with how nice things are looking just now, so I'm going to try and keep that feeling going to inspire me to rebuild more. :)

Thanks for the cheers -- I needed those! :D *hugs Katri*

This is all sounds like a LOT of hard work! Well done for sticking with it! The 400+ relationships would be enough to put me off!

It's all work I would have ended up doing anyhow, but that doesn't make it any less tedious. And all the relationships are double-counted in a way: Phoebe to Chant is one relationship, and Chant to Phoebe is another, but you can actually set both of them in the same screen in SimPE.

Thanks for the encouragement! :D *hugs Sam*

Looking good Esme, but phew! You go to more trouble than I would. I think I simply set everyone in a family to friends and kept any BFF from outside the family and that was it. I didn't bother with exact relationship points as I figure they could regain those. Not that I actually counted so it could be more than I realize, but I don't think it was 400, I'm too lazy! :P

Do you see how many Sims I have?! And they all know each other, and half of them are all related, and a lot of them are at least friends if not best friends. (I also restored a couple of relationships that were negative, since the sims had gotten themselves to that point and I thought it was fun. Did you know that Old Adam and Anastasia can't stand each other?) Come to that, some of the sims had developed a better relationship in the high-fiving each other stage of the process than they had originally, so I let them keep that.

I think I went to about the same amount of trouble in my last rebuild, except that I couldn't get the relationships quite as precise and it required a LOT more clicking, which was not a good thing.

I'll get to play soon, maybe even before the new year! Yay! :D
