So I've been making progress!

For some reason, SimPE doesn't always want to open the way it should, or at least, not the way I think it should. The problem may be with the operator rather than the program. *rolls eyes* But I've gotten a lot of the information in my Excel spreadsheet now: all the relationships with numbers (I decided to skip all the 0/0 relationships), everyone's badges, and the genetic information for all the Children and Toddlers, as well as for some of the Teens and Adults. For the Teens and Adults, I also have their characteristics, turn ons, and turn offs recorded. I admit to skipping ahead to the kids and tots since they don't have that extra info to pull...

I had five Sims to extract and clone, and they are all extracted and clearly named: firstname.lastname.orig, so I know that it's not the clone. I still need to clone in Bodyshop, reclothe with basegame outfits, and post. I forgot to redress everyone before extracting, but I'll be hanged if I redo it again. I want to play, frammit, and sometime before the New Year too!

I have some updated info about OTHs and dominant features that I need to post for already uploaded sims.

I have three lots about 2/3 of the way built. Two are designed to fit in with the High Street that Jo made for me, although she is a much much better builder than I am.

I have one day and a little bit to play in the old 'hood to wrap up that rotation.

I have roughly 900 lots to build in the new 'hood, or at least it feels that way. Everyone needs a new house, and I don't want to redo all the decorating I just did last rebuild. )I did package up those lots at the time I did them, but I can't be sure that they are clean because there were corruption-causing mods in the 'hood they came from, so I don't want to bring them over. I'm thinking that perhaps a tornado will tear through town, flattening select homes and causing certain people to move/rebuild. That might also explain why the 'hood maps for the main 'hood and downtown are different. Or I could just handwave it, I suppose. That's what I used to do before I had readers... all five of you! :P

I have not written up what I did play in the old 'hood, although I made a somewhat abortive start on it the other day. I haven't written up the latest of the Newsons either. I have an OWBC chapter done that I've been sitting on because I will be out of things to post once I post that, unless you count the one other chapter I have of the Newsons. I'm a bit worried that I'll lose my fanbase and relevance. Not that I ever had much relevance, and my "fan base" has been the same few loyal folks for years now. On a related note, I was rereading back chapters of some of my stories last night and enjoying them very much. That's why I started posting in the first place anyway...

I am getting really tired of the having-to-set-things-up. Why can't I just be done? *sigh*

Wow, that's a lot of work! I can certainly understand it can be a pretty daunting task, I'm a bit terrified that I'll be facing the same one sooner or later. Probably several times if I ever want to even dream about finishing my legacy. My hat goes off for all the work you've already done. You can do it, Esme! *cheers*

Oh, and no worries on the fanbase/relevance at least when it comes to me. Take your time, I'm not going anywhere. :) *sits tight*

In my old game, I have a rebuilding 'hood all ready to go, so that if I needed to rebuild all the buildings and stuff were right, and I just had to bring over the sims. Still a pain, but less of one. However, since I'm starting really truly clean, I want to start without the NPC-creating hacks or anything that will conflict with/duplicate functionality in the new game. I know it's better that way, but my gosh is it boring!

Thanks for the encouragement! You are one of my Loyal Readers, and I know you'll be around. Thank you! :)

With simPE it's all in how you hold your mouth. Don't let it see any kind of weakness or it will have you. Well that's what my father would say anyway... ^_^

Rebuilding is never fun. *hugs*

You know, it does run better when I start swearing and threatening the computer with my fist... I think you've discovered the secret! (And I'm glad it's not just me that has that happen.)

Some parts of the rebuild are fun, like the new parts, but recreating the old stuff is boring boring boring!

Thank for the encouragement, and for being a Loyal Reader! :) *hugs back*
