Date: 2014-03-03 03:37 pm (UTC)Congrats on finishing the rebuild! Those are huge undertakings. I'm looking at my first this generation, and I'm slightly dreading the amount of work already. I think the idea for a separate rebuilding hood is a good one. :)
Too bad Skye has had such rotten luck with her spouse hunting so far. But the new hair looks great!
Aww, Alexander and Ivan are such cuties. And I should try out the kite flying some time. It's one of those things I've never tried, despite having played the game for years and years. Also, yay babies! :)
Clearly, Leila has a way to deal with Cat. :D
Helen became such a cute teenager, and continues to fit right in with her daddies. Too bad Celeste didn't live to see it. :(
Aww, Sally and Troy! What a sweet renewal of vows. <3 Also, ooh, chocolate fountain! That's pretty cool!
Penny is growing up interesting, I'm curious to see what she gets up to.
Hehe at Nicholas and Drapaudi's lemonade stand. :D That was cute. Poor Fantine, though. :(
Some of the little pets are like that. You feed and feed and feed them, and still they're hungry. And don't gain any weight. On the other hand, some of mine come along with surprisingly little food.
It's sweet about the sims not caring about stereotypes. I hadn't thought about the handclap games - for some reason my kids rarely play those - but that's a cool one too. I also love how leap into arms happens both ways. :D
Oh, and good to see Goldberg and Silent Lady again, too! ^^

Date: 2014-03-03 04:17 pm (UTC)It's still a little bit of a pain to rename all the files in the rebuilding 'hood when you need to use it, but if you have a batch renamer, that problem goes away. It makes a lot more sense to build and lay out in a nice clean unused 'hood so you don't have to do it twice!
I'll find someone for Skye yet, you see if I don't! And Skye's hair was made especially for her by amylu1988 -- it's a Nouk hair with Remi colors. Amy's pretty awesome. :)
Rose and Dmitri are going to wear me out with their constant baybeez! But the results are cute cute cute, so I can't complain too much.
Straight bribery is pretty much the only thing that works with cats -- they'll only do something if they feel like it, so you have to motivate them.
Helen is the perfect kid for that household. Celeste had a little more time in the old 'hood, I think, but it was always going to be close.
The chocolate fountain is a conversion from TS3, and you can get it over at Leefish. I think it's by Honeywell. (amovitamsims did a decorative version, but with Honeywell's, you can eat the strawberries.)
I haven't quite decided for Penny yet. Something to do with cars, though -- of that I'm sure.
I feel a little bad about Fantine, but I do have my favorites. Nicholas and Draupadi are cute kids, I agree.
I think it might be a glitch in the custom pets (another conversion from TS3, this one from bienchen on MTS), but it's not a bad one, so I don't mind. :)
I like how unprejudiced and unstereotyped the sims are. Anyone can be anything and do anything -- it's great!
Goldberg & Silent Lady are my SimStoCreMo challenge this month. :P
Thanks for reading and commenting! :D

Date: 2014-03-04 08:50 am (UTC)Skye suits the challenge very well, now she just needs to get herself into souse hunting mode.
So Goldberg.... does he like Silent lady? or is this something we are not ever to know? He certainly liked the view until he realized who it was.
Aww a renewal of vows, sweet.
So you solved the mystery of the dinning table shuffle? That is all of them fitting in there to eat.

Date: 2014-03-04 12:04 pm (UTC)Yes, Skye needs to get serious about the whole spouse thing. It's a challenge, which is what I wanted, so that's a success, right?
Ah, the old, old question! :P You are correct that Goldberg was not unhappy with the view. He also responded to Murakame's interest in Silent Lady with studied nonchalance, was tongue-tied by Silent Lady's glamorous look at the party, glowered at handsome what's-his-name that she brought in to help when Goldberg was stabbed with a cursed dagger, and made a big point of mentioning that he was NOT checking her out in the club. Taken together, those things might be read as the interest of a somewhat romantically-awkward/less-than-confident man, maybe. ;)
Sally and Troy make it easy to write the sweet. :)
That's Glen fitting at a table, yes, but in Sally's house -- which you designed and laid out, and which is much more functional than Glen's actual house. Unless you mean Catherynne's rather large family all fitting, which they do, but their dining room is quite a bit larger than Glen and Lisa's.

Date: 2014-03-04 12:23 pm (UTC)Oh goodness, is that Gull Cottage? I had to go back and look! I'm glad you are finding it functional, I do always aim for that.

Date: 2014-03-04 09:06 pm (UTC)Skye looks great, I love all the blue outfits you have for her, and I'm glad the hair suits her. :)
D'aww, Alexander and his kite. :D
Yeah, the swing chains have always been bad, they tend to look worse the better your graphics card is, I think.
I love that picture of Helen and Isaac on the bench with their magazines/papers. So cute! :) ...Helen is a very pretty teen!
Hi Sally! Eeeeee, re-wedding! Squeeing too much! So many lovely pictures! Eeee! :D Ooh, I love that dress on Tamara, very pretty.
Love the bit with Nicolas and Draupadi on the lemonade stand, my brother and I used to do that with our cardboard post office. :) Aww, Fantine. I always forget that plantsims die, I always think of them as immortal for some reason. :(
It still makes me laugh when sloppy sims eat, especially when they finish their meal and look at the other sims as if to say 'what is taking you so long?' :)
Also, aw, Goldberg, somehow less able to express his feelings than a woman who doesn't speak. :D Silent Lady is still awesome, as always.

Date: 2014-03-05 02:06 am (UTC)Skye's hair is absolutely perfect for her -- thank you! :)
Oh, you just d'awww over anything Alexander or Ivan. :P I suppose the fact that the swing chains look bad is a good sign, then? I mean, that my graphics card must be okay? And when they start to look good, I'll know it's time for a new computer...
Helen is a very pretty girl and always has been. And oddly enough, she does seem like a mix of her dads, even though genetically she's no relation at all.
Tamara's dress is a Maxoid object from the old Exchange (it wasn't *all* crap, just most of it). Sally re-wedding was fun to play, so I guess it's a good thing I forgot to get them married properly in CAS, right? :P
I think plantsims seem immortal because they don't age normally, and the other two supernaturals that do that (vampires and zombies) are immortal. But plantsims are as mortal as any other, alas. Nicholas and Draupadi get along quite well, although neither of them have the greatest money sense right now.
Silent Lady is *made* of awesome, and all I can say is that it's a good thing she and Descartes were in separate 'hoods, or my computer would probably have exploded from the Awesome. And as far as poor Goldberg, communication is partly a skill he doesn't have and partly an art. Silent Lady, of course, is an artist. :P Speaking of whom, I'd welcome your thoughts on the story so far, like you gave me your thoughts on them a summer before last... but only if you have time and feel like giving them, of course!
Thanks for reading and commenting! :D

Date: 2014-05-21 05:31 pm (UTC)Loved the installment of Goldberg & Silent Lady! Maybe it just amuses me that Goldberg has to go into a strip club.
I'm not familiar with the rules of the Awesomesauce challenge, but I look forward to more all the same!
I've never liked the swing chains, just throwing that out there. On my big old desktop computer I *used* to play sims on, they were horrible. I don't know if it's worse now I can see them properly...
I liked seeing Sally and Troy retie the knot. It'll be nice to see their honeymoon, if they have one. Also, what happens to Goldberg & Silent Lady when she passes?
I forget plantsims are so easy to take care of.
Awwh the kids and their lemonade stand :)
Good work, Esme :)

Date: 2014-05-21 10:14 pm (UTC)Yep, Goldberg's sort of a fish out of water in that setting. :P
Here's a link to the Awesomesauce Challenge rules: http://awesimsauce.livejournal.com/ I don't want to make it its own story, coz I'll hit the fourth anniversary of Ruth's before I finish it, and that's only three generations.
I hadn't thought of a second honeymoon, but that might be nice. They can go back to where Tamara was conceived.... :P When Sally passes, Golberg & Silent Lady will go into reruns. You're not seeing the episodes in strict order anyhow, so as long as I leave the last episode for last, it's all good. :)
Plantsims are ridiculously easy to take care of. And Nicholas's (questionable) mind control powers should make him a good salesman.
